Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will virtually address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session on Friday (today).

According to the details, Pakistan has been informed about the schedule of the PM’s speech at the UN General Assembly.

Imran Khan will be the 3rd speaker in the afternoon session of the UN General Assembly 75th session.

The general debate of the 193-member assembly started on September 22. But, this year many of the leaders are addressing virtually because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Prime Minister, in his address, will raise the issue of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. Moreover, in his wide-ranging address, Imran Khan will also share Pakistan’s successful handling of COVID-19, and his debt relief initiative for developing countries.

Address to UN Panel

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the international community should take effective measures on the issue of money laundering.

Addressing a panel discussion on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that one trillion dollars are transferred through white-collar crime.

He said that the international community should take effective measures on the issue of money laundering, the United Nations should formulate a strategy to stop the money laundering while the money looted from poor and developing countries should be returned immediately.
