IHC directs Federal Cabinet to take up the matter of ending diplomatic with France

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed the federal cabinet to take up the matter of terminating diplomatic relations with France.

According to the details, the High Court heard a petition to end diplomatic ties with France. The High Court has directed the federal cabinet to take a decision keeping in view the public sentiments.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that the government of Pakistan has condemned the French Incitement against Islam and has also summoned the French ambassador.

He said that a resolution has also been passed by the National Assembly. The court remarked that the passing of the resolution from the parliament is also the representation of the people.

After hearing the arguments the court wrapped up the case by sending the matter to the federal cabinet.

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned incitement against the Islamic religion and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H).

He took to his Twitter and said:

Let it be known that in recent weeks, French President Emmanuel Macron attacked Islam and the Muslim community, accusing Muslims of “separatism”. He described Islam as “a religion in crisis all over the world”.
