In the second Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) jalsa that is being held in Karachi today (Sunday), none of the Opposition leaders nor participants followed SOPs to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
The PDM has violated the agreement reached with the administration again in its second rally. A per the details, no social distancing is being followed at the Baagh-e-Jinnah ground. No leader was seen wearing face masks as well.
The attendees are standing and sitting right next to each other.
It should be mentioned here that The Opposition Alliance of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had violated the agreement reached with the administration at its first gathering in Gujranwala held on Friday (16th October).
According to details, PML-N had applied to the district administration for today’s Jalsa at Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala, on which the administration had agreed to strict conditions and agreement and allowed the PDM to hold the meeting.
A copy of the agreement states that prior to the meeting, the PDMA had assured the implementation of the Coronavirus SOPs, while it was decided that no worker would attend the Jalsa without a mask.
The workers attended the gathering without masks and no central leader or official of any party stopped their workers from violating the code of conduct.
According to the agreement, the organizers of the meeting would be obliged to give a gate percentage to the participants coming and going in the stadium, while a distance of 6 feet would be kept between the participants in the venue, but no such arrangement was made.
