The Sindh government has now come up with a permanent solution to car theft and snatching.
According to details, it has been decided to link the sale and purchase of vehicles with the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) system.
According to sources, preliminary matters have been settled between the Excise Department and NADRA.
Sources said that from now on, car sellers and buyers will complete the purchase process through biometrics.
The buyer must register the vehicle within one month after purchase.
According to DG Excise, sellers and buyers at NADRA centres and any franchise will complete the purchase process through biometrics.
Driving an open letter car is not only a problem for the government but also a problem of law and order while transferring through biometrics will increase the vehicle tax and revenue by 30%.
