“Opposition has been badly exposed”: Shibli Faraz
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has criticized the Opposition for holding Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rallies despite the second wave of coronavirus and said that the “PDM politics has reached a dead end”.
Speaking in a press conference, the federal minister mourned the increased load in hospitals due to the virus’ second Critical wave. He said the positivity rate has sharpened especially in areas where the PDM rallies took place.
“The internal differences between the political parties that are a part of the PDM are coming to the fore. The Opposition movement has been badly exposed due to contradiction in its words and deeds,” he alleged.
Highlighting that the reputation of the leader of any movement is very crucial, he said that the PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s reputation has been adversely affected.
“Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who wears the cloak of religion, does not follow the law. Maulana Sherani has admitted that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is self-selected,” Shibli added.
Earlier, Senator Shibli Faraz said that the PTI government is determined to show its efforts in maintaining peace and facilitate people’s lives.
He further said, despite challenges, Pakistan’s economic indicators are positive. He said in the first half of the financial year, remittances have increased by 27 percent, Foreign Direct Investment by 150 percent, and cement production by 17 percent.
“Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan is striving for a bright future of the people and this journey of development will continue at the same pace,” he added
