Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday said that police forces have played a vital role in uplifting Pakistan.
Imran Khan was addressing the 33rd passing out parade of recruits at Police Lines Headquarters in Islamabad.
The Premier said that a nation could not achieve its development goals in an insecure environment. The Police forces assure the protection of citizens when the defense forces were busy securing the borders of the country.
Prime Minister said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) raised the morale of the police forces when it became the victim of terrorism in 2013 and 500 policemen were martyred.
Imran Khan added that the KP police department had bravely fought the jeopardy of terrorism and won the confidence of the citizens.
In addition to this, the Prime Minister said that he will discuss the matter related to salaries of the Islamabad police with the Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.
He also announced the provision of health cards to the families of police officials in order to give them medical insurance facility up to Rs 1 million.
Moreover, the installments of loans of the government employees will be paid from the rent allowance in Naya Pakistan Housing Program.
