Prime Minister PM Imran Khan has summoned an important meeting of government officials and coalition partners in Islamabad on Monday (today).
According to the details, Prime Minister Imran Khan will discuss the government’s strategy to counter the opposition’s anti-government movement.
The meeting will also discuss the current economic situation of the country. Some leaders will attend the meeting via video link.
In response to Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) gathering in Lahore, Prime Minister Imran Khan termed the entire rally as ‘pathetic’.
PM Imran in his tweets said, the PDM leaders simply displayed utter callousness by endangering people’s lives despite the COVID-19 threat across the country. He clarified to the PDM leaders that he won’t give NRO to them, no matter what future tactics or blackmailing they have planned for later.
It should be noted that the final public meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) seeking to oust the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) through public revolt concluded on Sunday in Lahore.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and other leaders were greeted by the charged crowd when they reached the venue, Minar-e-Pakistan.
The Pakistan Democratic Movement, an alliance of the opposition parties, held its first anti-government rally at Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala on October 16.
The opposition parties will hold a “decisive” long march against the government in January 2021, the leaders had decided in a meeting in Islamabad on December 8th.
