Amidst the increasing COVID-19 fear across the country, two government schools have been sealed after the detection of four new cases of coronavirus among students and teachers.

According to the details, four new cases of novel coronavirus have been detected in two governments schools in Lahore. The schools have been sealed for a week after the detection of COVID-19 cases among three students and two teachers.

Moreover, the local administration issued show-cause notices to the heads of 12 schools in Lahore over showing negligence from duties and lack of arrangements under the devised SOPs against COVID-19.

The school administrations have been directed to appear before the relevant authority along with the written responses within two days.

The provincial education authority stated that action will be taken against the concerned heads over failing to provide satisfactory response.

On the other hand, The first batch of coronavirus vaccine is expected to reach Pakistan from China.

The vaccine is likely to be sent through a special plane of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)

As per the details, a special container has been handed over by China to Pakistan to bring five hundred thousand doses from Beijing. The national carrier will provide free service.

The update comes after Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said on Wednesday that the vaccination of front-line health workers will start next week as the system is in place.
