Roads across Karachi are blocked because of protests being held by the Hazara Shia community against the massacre of 11 Hazara miners in Machh area of Balochistan.
According to the details, several areas in Karachi witnessed massive traffic gridlocks and suspension of business activities.
Protest at following locations & routes are closed for traffic
- Gurumandir towards Numaish
- North Karachi Powerhouse station
- Shahrah-e-faisal towards Colony Gate, Malir 15
- Drig Road towards Malir 15 both ways
- Abul Hasan Asfahani Road
- University Road
- Power House to Nagan Chowrangi
- Kamran Chowrangi
Protests erupted across the country three days ago when at least 11 coal miners were killed and several others were injured in an armed attack at Balochistan’s Machh coal field.
Armed men took the coal miners to nearby mountains, where they opened fire on them. Six of the miners were dead on the spot and five who were critically wounded died on the way to a hospital.
