Interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed while taking a jibe at the opposition alliance has said that more properties of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz will be revealed.

Addressing a news conference in Karachi, the Interior Minister said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman will be bearing the worst consequences, ‘the other opposition parties will deceive PDM Chief,” Rashid claimed.

Sheikh Rashid said that it was for the first time that an interior minister had allowed a protest in federal capital’s Red Zone.

“The opposition cooperated with us and so did we,” the Sheikh Rashid said. “If they cooperate with us in the long march, then we would also cooperate with them.”

The Interior Minister further said that the National Database registration Authority NADRA centers will be established at all Tahseel headquarters in the country.

He said modern chip will be installed in the passport of the country and now the passports will be issued for the period of ten years.

He said standard of NADRA will further be raised to facilitate the people and national identity cards will only be issued to the citizens of Pakistan.

He said Karachi will be turn up into a safe city in cooperation with all stakeholders.

Furthermore, during his visit to Sindh Ranger Headquarters, the interior minister received a briefing on the law and order situation of the province.

“All possible steps will be taken to ensure peace in Karachi. The role of Rangers is important for the prevention of terrorism, crime and restoration of peace,” said Sheikh Rashid.
