Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), is all set to hold public gathering against the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Bahawalpur today.
According to the details, all the preparations for the political showdown have been completed as the stage has been made while the venue has also been decorated with flags and banners.
Who will address?
PDM head and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) chief Fazal-ur-Rehman, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz and other members of opposition parties will participate in the rally.
The rally will pass through Bandra Bridge, Model Town C Chowk, Fateh Chowk, Model Town B, and reach Toll Plaza Sutlej Bridge.
Rally despite Refusal
Moreover, the local authorities have refused to give permission for the public gathering due to increasing cases of coronavirus across the country. They have also blocked different routes by placing containers.
Coronavirus Situation in Pakistan
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 53 more people died during this period, bringing the death toll from the highly contagious disease to 10,311.
As many as 2,272 new cases of the coronavirus were reported during the past 24 hours, pushing the national tally of infections to 486,634.
A total of 44,392 samples were tested, out of which 2,272 turned out to be positive. The national positivity ratio of infections was recorded at 5.11 per cent.
