Govt putting efforts to complete development projects in Karachi, Asad Umar

Federal Minister for planning and development Asad Umar said on Sunday that the government is working hard to complete development projects in Karachi beyond its constitutional responsibility.

He was addressing people at the ceremony of handing over 52 modern fire tenders to the Karachi Municipal Corporation in Karachi.

Umar said that Karachi is a city that provides resources to Pakistan and Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken a personal interest in the development of the city.

Moreover, he also said that the federal funded Green Line Bus Rapid Transport Project will be functionalized from July or August.

Earlier, Chief of the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), Asad Umar has on Sunday said that the Sindh government has been told to ensure that the coronavirus vaccines are only administered to healthcare workers.

“We have received complaints that the coronavirus vaccine is being given to acquaintances in Karachi besides healthcare workers,” said Umar.
