The political fraternity has expressed grief over the demise of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Mushahidullah Khan, who passed away today in Islamabad at the age of 68.

According to the details, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said that she was shattered to hear the sad news.

She wrote in her tweet:

“Senator Mushahidullah Khan, MNS’s loyal and exceptional companion left us. Will never be able to forget his fatherly affection & love. Huge huge loss

Senator Mian Muhammad Ateeq who hails from Mutahidda Qaumi Movement also condoled over the death of Mushahidullah Khan.

In his statement, he said that Mushahidullah Khan was a brave and fearless man. He was a patriotic man and the late Senator always raised his voice for Kashmir’s freedom on every forum.

“Mushahidullah’s death is a great loss to the Senate of Pakistan,” he added.

MQM’s Dr Farooq Sattar also grieved over the death of PML-N) Senator Mushahidullah Khan.

In his statement, Dr Farooq Sattar prayed May Allah elevate the ranks of the deceased and grant him a high position in Paradise.

“My heartfelt condolences and sympathy to all the mourners, May Allah grant patience to all of them,” Sattar added.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani expressed deep sorrow over demise of PML-N Senator Mushahidullah Khan.

He said that Mushahidullah Khan was a shrewd politician; he was artful and crafty in politics and his political and parliamentary services will always be remembered. Mushahidullah Khan had a very kind and elegant personality.

Senator Mushahidullah’s funeral prayers would be held after Zuhr prayers in Islamabad’s Sector H-11 later on Thursday, according to his family.

The senior PML-N leader was the chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Aviation, as well as a member of the Council of Chairpersons and various others standing committees.

He was also part of the parliamentary committees on Appointment of Chief Election Commissioner and Members of the Election Commission of Pakistan, Kashmir, and National Security.
