National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser on Sunday has stressed the need of promoting a culture of patience and tolerance in politics.
He expressed disappointment over the incidents that took place outside the Parliament on Saturday. He vowed to inquire about the incident.
However, Asad Qaiser said that the members of parliament are elected representatives and everybody must respect them. He added that political leaders will have to play their role to curb such incidents.
PM Imran Khan wins vote of confidence
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday won the vote of confidence in the National Assembly after upset in Senate Elections.
According to the details, the house reposed its trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan with 178 votes.
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser announced the results and declared Prime Minister Imran Khan as the winner by securing 178 votes, which is six more votes than he needed.
Shortly after the speaker’s announcement, MNA Aamir Liaquat Hussain took the floor and recited the naat.
