The President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi on Sunday extended his wishes on Holi to the Hindu community in Pakistan and across the world.

According to the details,

President of Pakistan in his Twitter handle wrote:

Wishing a Happy Holi to all our Hindu brethren celebrating. May this joyous event of colours bring happiness, peace and prosperity for all of us and our region. Pakistan stands committed to the rights of minorities.’

Prime Minister Imran Khan also greeted the Hindu community on the occasion of Holi.

“Wishing all our Hindu community a very happy Holi, the festival of colours,” Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted.

Other politicians including National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Federal Information Minister Senator Shibli Faraz, Federal Science Minister Senatro Shibli Faraz, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader Ahsan Iqbal also wished the Hindu community on their special occasion.

According to the media reports, Hindus form the biggest minority community in Pakistan. As per the estimates more than 7 million Hindus live in Pakistan.

Holi is a popular ancient Hindu festival, also known as the festival of colors. The festival celebrates the eternal and divine love of Radha and Krishna. The festival also signifies the triumph of good over evil.
