PM Imran Directs To Diminish Burden Of Taxes On The Poor

Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Monday (today) directed to provide relief to the people by reducing the tax burden.

While chairing the meeting in Islamabad, PM Imran said providing relief to the needy and deserving people is the government’s utmost priority.

The meeting has discussed the provision of direct subsidies to poor families.

Providing every possible relief to the deserving people is our responsibility, the premier said.

He further said we will go to any extent to fulfill the responsibility as a determined government.

“The government is giving priority to making the system of subsidy effective and transparent,” added the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister directed that it should be ensured that the prices of basic food items like flour do not go up and advance arrangements should be made so that the poor can easily meet their needs.

Briefing about providing cheap flour throughout the month of Ramadan has also been given during the meeting.

Earlier, the Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing about the proposed Ehsaas Food Stamp Program.

He also lauded the efforts of the authorities over their concern about the proposed program.
