Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Saturday said that there is no threat to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government from Jahangir Tareen.
Addressing media today, he said that every MNA is loyal to Prime Minister Imran Khan as Tareen poses no threat.
He added that Jahangir Khan Tareen has categorically made two things clear that neither he is establishing a forward bloc in the party, nor leaving the PTI.
FM Qureshi also talked about the ongoing cases related to sugar mills. He said that action is being taken against 17 sugar mills in the scandal, not only against Jahangir Tareen only.
Qureshi suggested Tareen meet PM Imran Khan if he has any reservations on action taken against sugar mills. He said that the premier will listen to his stance carefully.
On Friday night, Jahangir Tareen hosted a dinner for PTI members. Around 30 members of the national and Punjab assemblies, including 8 MNAs and 21 MPAs attended the gathering. Sources said that those who gathered last night included Ajmal Cheema, MNAs Raja Riaz, Ghulab Bibi Bharwana, Malik Nauman Langarial, Aslam Bharwana, and others.
