Prime Minister Imran Khan has reshuffled the federal cabinet once again.

According to the Prime Minister Office, Imran Khan has appointed Shaukat Tarin as the new finance minister.

The additional charge of the finance minister was taken back from Industries and Production Minister Hammad Azhar who has now replaced Omar Ayub as power minister.

Omar Ayub has been entrusted with the portfolio of the revenue affairs. Whereas Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has replaced Shibli Faraz as information minister while Shibli Faraz has been made the science and technology minister.

It should be noted that this is the second time Fawad Chaudhry has been given portfolio of federal information ministry in two and a half years of PTI’s government. He was given charge of the ministry first when the federal cabinet took oath in August 2018. However, he was released of his duties and was given the charge of Minister for Science and Technology.
