PM Imran, Air Chief Discuss Matters pertaining to Pakistan Air Force

PM meets Air Chief

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Baber Sidhu has on Monday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad. 

Both the leaders discussed matters pertaining to Pakistan Air Force were discussed during the meeting.

Earlier, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed visited Naval Headquarters (NHQ) and called on CNS Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.

The Air Chief was welcomed by Naval Chief and was bestowed the Guard of Honour.

Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed had laid a floral wreath at Shuhada Monument and was introduced to Principal Staff Officers at NHQ.

CNS also facilitated the Air Chief on assuming Command of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and said that Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force will continue endeavours to enhance synergy and seamless integration in related matters.

CAS Zaheer Babar also assured PAF’s full support and pledged to work together in making the defence of the country impregnable.

Previously, Prime Minister Imran Khan had appointed Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar as the new Chief of Air Staff (CAS).

Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar had been appointed as Air Chief in place of Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan.

Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar was commissioned in April 1986 in the GDP branch of the Pakistan Air Force.

During his career, he commanded the Fighter Squadron, Operational Air Base and Regional Air Command. He served at the Air Headquarters as Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations Research and Development), Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Training Officers) and Director General of Projects.
