LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Punjab General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza on Tuesday said that with every passing day the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan was weakening.

In a statement issued here, the parliamentary leader and PPP Punjab General Secretary Hassan Murtaza said that if the rulers wanted to turn D-chowk into a battlefield they could fulfill their desire.

He said the PPP and other democratic forces were ready to face the selected government on every front. He said democratic forces would foil the attempt of making parliament hostage on the date when no-confidence motion would be tabled against the selected Prime Minister Imran Khan.

While criticising Imran Khan, Murtaza said, “Those who don’t attend the sessions of parliament are visiting parliament lodges in order to save their government.”

The PPP leader said Imran Khan instead of counting the numbers of parliamentarians should count eggs, hen and chicks. He said Imran Khan would be given the best health facilities in a mental hospital after the success of no-confidence motion.

He further said the long march led by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari proved to be the last nail in the coffin of the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
