Parvez Ilahi meets with prominent members of Punjab Assembly

• Speaker Punjab assembly Chaudhary Parvez Ilahi on Wednesday met with members of the Punjab assembly
• Application has been submitted for the Fraudulent measures in by-elections in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)
• Members also accused the deputy commissioner of taking orders from the Hamza Shehbaz government.

LAHORE: Speaker Punjab assembly Chaudhary Parvez Ilahi on Wednesday met with members of the Punjab assembly where they briefed the speaker about the fraudulent measures taken in the by-elections by the Punjab government, BOL News reports.

Former provincial minister Sahibzada Mehmood Sultan, Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Hanif Patafi, and MPA Farooq Aman Ullah were present at the meeting. “Application has been submitted for the Fraudulent measures in by-elections in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), ” MPA Rana Shahbaz told the media.

“The Punjab government has posted four police officers with each assembly member. The funds of PTI members have also been transferred to the constituencies of by-elections,” Mehboob Sultan added.

“Election commission should take notice of the rigging during the by-elections.” Rana Shehbaz told Parvez Ilahi.

The members of PTI from the Punjab Assembly complained about the illegal activities of the Punjab assembly after ousting Usman Buzdar as the chief minister. Members also accused the deputy commissioner of taking orders from the Hamza Shehbaz government.

Speaker Punjab assembly affirmed the situation in Punjab and said, “corruption in Punjab is at the highest level, the current government saw their defeat and now are rigging the by-elections.”

The public will strictly protest against the government for illegal acts. They will oust the dissidents in upcoming elections for sure. Prices of every commodity have risen to the highest in the country, Parvez Ilahi added.

The speaker also condemned the Islamophobic remarks by  Nupur Sharma in India and demanded, ” Indian products should be boycotted. Voices must be raised against India on the International forum,” Pervez Ilahi said.
