KARACHI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 56 kilograms of frozen ice from a Iqrar Ahmed, office in Karachi which is being smuggled to Saudi Arabia.
Spokesmen ANF said on secret information, the attempt of drug smuggling to Saudi Arabia through ovens has failed. During the search, ice was found in the ovens being sent to Jeddah.
ANF teams have recovered a total of 56 kg of ice from six ovens from a private courier campy office at Shahrah e Faisal.
The accused who was sending the goods through the courier office arrested on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Iqrar Ahmed, a resident of Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa.
During the investigation, the accused revealed that five more ovens had reached Karachi through a private bus service.
The spokesman ANF further said two more ovens tandoors were recovered from near Sohrab Goth and three ovens were seized in Lyari.
ANF has recovered a total of 88 kg 500 grams of ice from 11 ovens.
The accused named Iqrar was also wanted in the drug parcel case in Rawalpindi.
