LAHORE: PTI Chairman Imran Khan is pressurizing the current government of Pakistan for early general elections as he has started preparing for general elections in full boom. The Party chairman is planning to set down a stronger field this time to hold a secured position in general elections.

According to sources, Chairman PTI called out a meeting of the members of the assembly, party officials, and ticket holders to elevate the chances of winning for betterment, the conference will be conducted in Zaman Park Lahore. All the above mentioned party officials will be attending the meeting for further action plans and consideration of the stronger candidates for upcoming general elections.

PTI leader Imran Khan will seek opinions from the other officials and will take into consideration the candidates for general elections and the conclusion will be disclosed in the same conference. The  Chairman PTI himself will make the announcement for the final candidates for the upcoming general election in the called conference.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) held the lead by securing 229 local councils (LC) seats followed by independent candidates securing 199 seats in the second phase of local government (LG) elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) held on Saturday.

According to official results announced by the AJK Election Commission on Sunday evening, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) managed to take the third position by securing 129 seats, while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) got 104 seats in the Poonch division of AJK.
