Imran says only Bajwa is responsible for current crisis

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has termed former chief of army staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa responsible for the worst crisis, Pakistan is passing through today, adding that everyone in the country knows that only one ‘man’ is responsible for all this crisis.

He said that inflation has increased many folds in Pakistan, adding “We have to bring a peaceful revolution through the ballot boxes. I tell all institutions that this Pakistan will get out of our hands.”

He expressed these views while addressing a PTI women convention through video link in Karachi on Sunday.

He said that they (the opposition) called him a traitor, adding, on Saturday in Mirpurkhas, a man died for flour. “Where was Pakistan standing in March and where is it standing today?” he asked.

Imran lamented, “The people hoped that if politicians did wrong, the establishment would fix it, But today what circumstance we are in, Gen Bajwa is the only person who is the responsible for it.”

The former prime minister further said, “Even today, political engineering is still being carried out and it feels that the establishment has not learnt from the past.”

He warned if a weak government was brought to power through the political engineering, the country could not be steered out at all.

Imran maintained that the PTI would come to power again if political engineering was not carried out.

He observed that the country could not come out of the present economic crisis until investors would make investment in the country, adding that the country could not be run through begging and the country has to pay very high price in this situation.

He said, “Through political engineering, the PML-N is being brought forward in Punjab, BAP is being merged with the PPP in Balochistan and in Karachi,  factions of the MQM is being united in fear of the PTI and conspiracy is being hatched in KP, efforts are on to weaken the most popular party of the country.”

He added that the county needed such a government, which would last for five years so that it could steer the country out of crisis.

Imran said that a weak regime like PMD government couldn’t do anything, adding they had destroyed the country by laundering money out of the country.

They had opened the doors of white collar crime, which devastated the country morally and economically, he observed.

The PTI chief said that both the parties – the PML-N and PPP – had been looting the country for 20 years, adding that these parties had kept calling each other thieves.

He added that Pakistan went backwards from the 90s. “The future is of our struggle. We will go to people’s homes and wake them up,” he said.

The former premier recalled, “In our time, the price of oil went from 62 to 115 rupees. Now what is the reason for the increase in the price of petrol? Pakistanis are leaving the country.”

He maintained that the PTI is only party, which will handle the country as the party has roots everywhere in the homeland.

He said that this imported government had come to destroy the country and our enemies also wanted to weaken the country, adding, “We want only transparent elections as political engineering has damaged Pakistan.”

Imran said, “I want to say to the women of Karachi that it is not politics anymore, now it is Jihad. You are coming out for the country not for the ministries.”

He observed that this crisis would increase further, adding this was the time you had to go door-to-door for the sake of the country.

“We saw in the by-elections that the Election Commission shamelessly helped all the parties. They broke our votes but this time women came out to vote and women won us 75% of the elections.” 

Imran said that the PTI government had exported record, adding agriculture is the backbone of the country but today the imported government had put the country on the edge of the destruction.

He said, “We are the party, which is preparing for the elections.”

He added, “We have to take the steps that will bring the country out of crises. Tehreek-e-Insaaf will bring the country out of crises. First of all we want clean and transparent elections.”
