PESHAWAR: A terrorist was killed by security forces during an Intelligence-Based Operation in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists during the operation. As a result, one terrorist was killed in the exchange of fire.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist, the military’s press wing said. It added the killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of innocent citizens.
Earlier this month, security forces killed eleven terrorists including a commander and two suicide bombers during a raid in Wana, South Waziristan District.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said security forces conducted an Intelligence Based Operation in general area Wana, South Waziristan district and successfully foiled a high-profile terrorist activity.
“During intense exchange of fire, 11 terrorists including terrorist commander Hafiz Ullah alias Tor Hafiz and two suicide bombers were killed. A huge quantity of weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists,” the ISPR said.
The killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and target killing of police in South Waziristan district.
