PESHAWAR: The Inspector General (IG) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Moazzam Jah said Thursday that the police have been very close to the terrorist network.
He was addressing the media in response to the conspiracies circulating regarding the blast that took the lives of over 90 people in Peshawar Police Lines.
IG KP said that the suicide attacker entered the masjid in uniform and was not searched due to this.
“I have dug out the suicide bomber through CCTV, and we have found the head of the same person who is in police uniform and wearing a jacket with a helmet and mask. He came to the spot on a motorbike.”
He also vowed to take revenge of the martyred and said that the culprits will be dealt with. “KP Police have always taken revenge for terrorist incidents.”
Moazzam Jah while underscoring the conspiracies regarding the incident said that the conspiracy theories have been adding insult to the injuries of the Police of KP.
“My police workers were forced to protest, they were misguided and I won’t tolerate this.”
He also rebuffed the rumours that the attack was carried out by a drone adding that the massive destruction occurred due to the structure of the mosque. IG said that the mosque was built 50 years back without pillars for support which led to the death toll.
“With the help of CCTV footage, we will bring the terrorist network to the front and will take revenge of our martyrs.”
