LAHORE: As many as 85 police personnel and PTI workers were injured during clashes, which took place at and round Zaman Park, residence of PTI chief Imran Khan, and in Lahore city for last two days.

As per Bol TV, 24 PTI workers belonging to Punjab and other provinces have been arrested. 54 cops and 31 PTI workers were injured during the clashes.

DIG Operation Islamabad Shahzad Bukhari, DPO Sheikhupura Zahid Nawaz Marwat, SP Amarah Shirazi, Inspector Imran Qamar and SHO Shoaib Ghani and police personnel from Islamabad were also among the injured.

All the injured were shifted to Services Hospital and all of them are being stated to be out of danger.

Clashes between PTI workers and police continued at Zaman Park for the last two days and the workers fully resisted the action. On the other hand, on the call of the PTI chief, protests were staged across the country against the expected arrest of Imran Khan.

Earlier, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday disposed of a plea filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) seeking cancellation of arrest warrant issued for party chairman Imran Khan in Toshakhana case.

A hearing was held in the Islamabad High Court after the removal of objections to the warrant cancellation plea of Imran Khan. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq reserved the decision after the arguments of the parties were completed.

Chief Justice Aamer Farooq ordered that the assurance submitted here should be submitted to the trial court. Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant will be reinstated.

According to the court order, the trial court should decide after looking at the affidavit.
Islamabad High Court, while dealing with the petition of former prime minister Imran Khan, ordered that Imran Khan file his petition in the Sessions Court.

The trial court considered the affidavit in accordance with the law. The court ordered Imran Khan’s lawyers to file a fresh application in the trial court.
