PESHAWAR: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is sitting today in Peshawar for Ramadan moon-sighting headed by Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir.
The meeting will be held in the building of Auqaf Department to announce the beginning of the holy month in Pakistan.
Apart from this, district and zonal committees of the body will also meet at the respective offices today.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan meteorological department (PMD) has announced that there is a strong possibility of moon sighting on Wednesday (today) as the weather forecast is clear.
“The weather is expected to be fair and partly cloudy in most parts of the country during the Ramadan moon sighting time.”
