Security withdrawn from Imran Khan’s residence

LAHORE: Security has been withdrawn from the residence of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

After the development, the personnel security of Imran Khan will keep guard at the residence along with PTI workers.

Owing to the situation, the party workers have set up containers around Zaman Park for the security of Imran Khan.

Earlier, Imran Khan – taking it to Twitter – claimed that the intention behind his arrest is to assassinate him. He while addressing the nation affirmed that the arrest is an attempt to kill him.

Pertinently, Zaman Park remained the center of havoc for more than 24 hours when the police and security forces tried to arrest the former prime minister in the Toshakhana case.

PTI workers gathered around the residence of Khan to obstruct the Police’s move and retaliated with tear gas shelling and water cannons for hours.

On the other hand, an FIR has been booked against PTI leaders and Imran Khan for steering riots at Zaman Park causing injuries to police personnel and trouble for the people.
