LAHORE: Punjab police have formed a two-member inquiry committee on the alleged killing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker during a rally in Zaman Park.

Two police officers in the inquiry committee will investigate the incident, including DIG Elite Force Sadiq Ali and SSP Imran Kishwar.

The investigative team will collect the statements of the witnesses and submit the report containing the CCTV footage of the incident to the IG Punjab within three days.

Notably, a PTI activist allegedly died from violence and brutality by Punjab Police as the party attempted to take out a rally in Lahore.

Ali Bilal was present at the rally near Mall Road when police resorted to baton-charge and fired tear gas shells at the party workers.
