RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman on Tuesday met his family members at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Bol News reported.
Those who met him included his wife Bushra Bibi, a close relative Aziz Khanum and his two sisters Aleema Khanum and Dr Uzma Khanum. The meeting was held in Adiala Jail’s Conference Room, which lasted for one hour and 20 minutes.
They talked about health condition of the former prime minister and the cases against him. After the meeting, the PTI chief’s family members returned.
On October 23, the judge of Official Secret Act Special Court had approved a petition requesting permission for meeting of three sisters of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman with him in the jail.
Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Imran Khan and party Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi had been indicted in the cipher case. However, both Imran Khan and Qureshi had denied committing the crime.
The special court of the Official Secrets Act had conducted the case hearing at the Adiala jail and had issued a notice to summon the government lawyers for October 27.
