Pervez Elahi moves SC against physical remand

PTI President Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on Saturday approached the Supreme Court of Pakistan against his physical remand in illegal appointment case.

Pervez Elahi filed an appeal against the Sessions Judge and High Court decision of physical remand.

Amir Saeed Raan filed an appeal in the Supreme Court on behalf of Parvez Elahi.

The petition states that Judicial Magistrate discharged him from the case in Anti-Corruption Department, adding that the session’s judge and Lahore High Court gave the decision of physical remand; despite the magistrate rejecting the plea of physical remand.

Physical remand is against fundamental rights, appealed Elahi.

PTI president urged the Supreme Court to annul the decision of physical remand.

The physical remand of former Punjab chief minister and PTI president Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had been extended in illegal appointment case for 14 days.
