Punjab Education Department Revamps School Timings for Improved Efficiency.
In an effort to optimize the education system, the Punjab Education Department has recently unveiled revised school timings applicable to both public and private schools province-wide, starting from February 1 until April 15.
Boys’ Schools Schedule:
Under the new directives, boys’ schools will now commence at 8:30 am and conclude at 2:30 pm on weekdays, with a scheduled break from 12:15 pm.
Girls’ Schools Schedule:
Similarly, girls’ schools will operate from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm, with a designated midday break at 12:00 pm.
Two-Shift Schools:
For schools functioning in two shifts, the first shift will run from 8:00 am to 12:15 pm, followed by the second shift starting at 12:30 pm and ending at 5:00 pm.
The primary goal behind these adjustments is to streamline students’ and educators’ daily schedules, thereby fostering a more conducive learning environment. These modifications have been carefully deliberated, taking into account various factors such as student well-being and prevailing weather conditions.
Earlier in January, the education department had extended the previously notified school timings for the winter season until January 31, 2024. This recent announcement underscores the department’s unwavering dedication to delivering an effective and well-organized learning experience for students throughout Lahore.
The alterations in school timings not only aim to boost educational productivity but also prioritize the safety and comfort of students, especially amid changing seasons. Parents, teachers, and students are encouraged to embrace these adjustments for a seamless and more productive educational journey.
