Local media reports adjustments in timings for Lahore High Court, Sessions, and civil courts during Ramadan.
According to the notification issued, the new court hour adjustment will commence on the first day of Ramadan. Hearings at the Lahore High Court (LHC) will be held Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a break from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Additionally, Lahore High Court will hear cases on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. As per the notification, civil and session courts will conduct hearings from Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m..
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted cold weather for the first ten days of the upcoming Ramadan.
As per the department’s statement, there is a possibility of the moon being sighted on March 10, signaling the start of Ramadan.
Director General Sardar Sarfraz of the Meteorological Department mentioned the likelihood of the moon being sighted on March 10, especially in Sindh and Punjab. The department has also predicted cold and pleasant weather for the first ten days of Ramadan.
