RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed six suspected militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Panjgur district of Balochistan province.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted during the night of June 3-4 after reports about the presence of militants in the area.

Security forces engaged multiple militant hideouts, triggering an intense exchange of fire that resulted six Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell.

The weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and a vehicle were recovered from the slain militants, who were allegedly involved in several terrorist activities in the region.

A follow-up clearance operation is underway to ensure that no other militants remain in the area, the statement added.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue counterterrorism operations under the "Azm-e-Istehkam" campaign, aimed at eliminating militancy and foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country, according to the military.
