Smog and Fog to Disrupt Travel Across Pakistan

Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that smog and dense fog will continue in coming days.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that smog and dense fog will continue in the coming days and may become even stronger across the country’s plain areas.

The Met Office says the ongoing dry weather is making visibility worse, especially in northeastern and southern Punjab, including cities like Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sahiwal, Multan, Khanewal, Layyah, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur and nearby regions.

Similar conditions are expected in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan and surrounding areas. In upper Sindh, cities such as Sukkur and Rohri are also likely to face low visibility.

The Met Office said the smog and fog will be at their worst during early morning hours and advised people to be careful while traveling.
