Queen Consort Camilla pays tribute to late Queen Elizabeth II
The public has been informed of Queen Elizabeth’s final “sincere request” for his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, King Charles.
A charming old photo of Camilla and Queen Elizabeth was posted by Buckingham Palace along with the late monarch’s “sincere wish” for her.
Evidently, the King’s representative shared the message and picture.
“It is my honest intention that Camilla will be known as Queen Consort when that time comes as she continues her own loyal devotion,” it states. Elizabeth the Queen, Her Majesty.
In a statement commemorating the 70th anniversary of her reign, Queen Elizabeth made this request known.
Charles and Camilla were “moved and honored,” a representative for Clarence House, the residence of the then-Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, told the BBC in response.
Following a civil ceremony at Windsor’s Guildhall, the King and the Queen Consort were united in holy matrimony at Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel.
