Shazeal Shoukat opens up about her struggles with Urdu

A new entrant in the drama industry, Shazeal Shoukat has successfully captured the audience’s attention. Having spent most of her life in Canada, she relocated to Pakistan to pursue her passion for acting. She has appeared in several dramas, with her recent one “Adawat” receiving excellent ratings. Shazeal prefers to live authentically and does not attempt to conceal her true self.

She was a guest on BBC Urdu and she shared her struggle with Urdu. She said that “she has a problem speaking in Urdu and she is currently working on it. She is not ashamed of not knowing the language and she believes she needs to work hard to perfect it.”

Shazeal also spoke about the struggles that young artists have to face when they enter showbiz. She said that “she has not struggled at all and never had to face anything. She just has a problem with Urdu which she is working on right now. She said people should be the real themselves and she will be okay with people who do not know English come and speak to her.”
