Pakistan’s under 19 cricket team will play against Bangladesh under 19 in April and May.
As per reports, the series includes four ODI matches, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed this week.
The PCB said in their statement that,
“The tour has been arranged to provide further exposure to country’s future cricket stars and to help them prepare for next year’s ICC U19 Cricket World Cup (CWC) in the West Indies.”
Pakistan’s under 19 head coach and former player Ejaz Ahmed said, playing against Bangladesh, who won the ICC U-19 CWC last year, will be a “wonderful grooming opportunity” for the players against “one of the most formidable U19 sides at present.”
He further added to his statement that,
“The tour will be a challenging one for us and one that will hold these players in good stead in this developmental stage of their careers. The series will also help us identify the potential players that we will field in next year’s World Cup in the West Indies.”
