Ramiz Raja to meet BCCI officials next week

Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), will meet with officials from the Indian cricket board in Dubai for a formal meeting.

Raja will meet with authorities at the International Cricket Council (ICC) board meeting, which will have a significant impact on the future schedules of both cricketing nations.

The ICC summit will take place in Dubai from April 7 to April 10 and will span three days.

Tomorrow, Raja and CEO Faisal Hasnain will fly to Dubai. The session will begin with a meeting of the chief executive officers, during which numerous concerns will be discussed.

Finance and other committees will be discussed at the meeting. Raja would present a special report to the ICC on hosting the Pakistan-Australia series during the board meeting.

The PCB chairman will meet with various leaders of the respective boards on the sidelines of the meeting to build relations and develop future chances for Pakistan cricket. Other board officials will hear the proposed blueprint for the four-nation T20 tournament from the Chairman PCB.

Arch-rivals Pakistan and India, as well as Ashes rivals Australia and England, compete in the four-nation T20 competition. The proposed tournament is expected to generate USD 650 million in income, which will be split among the four participants and the ICC.

The funds will be utilized to help Associate Countries grow cricket.

Due to Covid-19, this will be the first physical meeting in two years, as all board members will be arriving in Dubai tomorrow.
