Shikhar Dhawan who recently guided India to a 3-0 clean sweep in the West Indies was once again named captain.

Following their recovery from injury, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Deepak Chahar rejoin the India lineup.

The West Indies ODI series players Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Arshdeep Singh weren’t selected for the Zimbabwe trip.

Big stars like Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami, and Hardik Pandya are absent from the team, as was to be expected.

Even so, the team that veteran Shikhar Dhawan has assembled appears to be a formidable one.
