David Moore has been chosen as the BCB’s head of programmes for a two-year term beginning in February. Moore will be responsible for “planning, designing strategies, and implementing the HP (High Performance) and Bangladesh Tigers initiatives to guarantee that these programmes directly promote the national team’s objectives,” according to a press statement from the board.

Jalal Yunus, the cricket operations chairman, discussed this role last month in an effort to centralise player development. He had indicated that the position was similar to that of a high-performance director.

“We won the ODI series against South Africa, but not the Test series. In New Zealand, we won a Test. I don’t believe it is sufficient “At the time, Jalal stated. “We want to focus on Tests and T20s. We want to make a concerted effort to improve this component of our game. We are considering hiring a high-performance director to oversee the overall structure of Bangladesh cricket. All of these adjustments will produce fruit within a year or two.”

Moore will also be in charge of coach development initiatives. “I’m really delighted to be starting my work as Head of Programs at the BCB,” he remarked of the potential to contribute to the development of Bangladesh cricket. I am excited to work with the Head Coach, his coaching and support staff, and the players to help them reach their full potential.

“I am overjoyed to have been appointed to oversee and create some extremely significant programmes that will provide opportunities for elite cricketers to perform on a global stage.”

Prior to this, Moore worked as a senior coach at Cricket Australia’s Center of Excellence before becoming the general manager and head coach development of Cricket NSW. He served as West Indies’ assistant coach before taking over as head coach for the team’s 2007 trip of England. He also served as the national team coach for Bermuda.
