Former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja says ‘Pakistan cricket faced terrible past of fixing’

Lahore: Pakistani cricket administrator, commentator, YouTuber, and former cricketer Rameez Raja addresses the students at GC University Lahore.

According to the reports, Ramiz spoke with students and discussed the terrible night of fixing in Pakistan cricket in the past. He said that he was saved from this curse which is mainly due to education.

Rameez said that sudden changes like ending the series in sports and making space through the back doors are causing damage and unfortunately, continuity is not allowed in Pakistan.

Former cricketer Raja encouraged female students and asked them to join women’s cricket as Pakistan women’s team is doing well.

While speaking to GC university students he appreciated the Green team’s efforts and said that Pakistan has defeated first-world teams with their dedication.

However, Ramiz Raja cleared his points and said that he did not come here to fight his case but what happened was not right, He said that by breaking the constitutional honour of a servant who was dispatched.

Ramiz also appreciated Babar Azam and his team as the have proved it by standing on the field. He said that Babar Azam’s team does not falter despite the continuity break

Former cricketer also discussed about people who are using false statement on social media as he said that young people should leave their mobile phones and settle the field.

While speaking about Sarfaraz Ahmed he said that he has always been part of the team and the coach and captain have to choose from sixteen. He added that a player who is not part of the permanent team is made vice-captain.

Regarding Whiteball he said that while putting Whiteball under team pressure there is no point in this flirtation. The Whiteball team is extraordinary as the more you tease the cricket team, the more it will get negative results and nothing will be achieved.

However, regarding BJP he said that BJP’s mindset has arrived in India and India’s mindset is to push back Pakistan and ICC is oppressed because they get money from India.

He added that Babar Azam was told that we did not lose from India and the new management should think about going to the world in India.

Notably, Pakistan team reached the final by GT Road instead of Motorway and Raja hopes that there is no lobbying in the Pakistan cricket team.
