Whatsapp users around the UK, but notably in London, reported issues.
52 percent of the issues reported are related to Server connection, 37 percent to sending messages, and 11 percent to receiving messages.

Another user tweeted, alongside a photo of an angry guy, “Me noticing WhatsApp is down after restarting my WiFi 50 times and deleting the app 6 times!!
