Meta’s WhatsApp undergoes regular updates to enhance user experience, crucial as it serves as a primary communication tool for millions worldwide. The app’s beta versions have introduced AI-driven features like stickers and chatbots, alongside AI-powered image editing tools added in September, as reported by Android Police.
The latest beta release for Android (v2.24.7.13) brings new features to the photo editor: Backdrop, Restyle, and Expand. These options appear when users post a status update or share an image, accessible through a sparkle icon in the top row of the editing tools.
Backdrop allows users to add text and change the photo background, while Restyle modifies the image’s overall appearance. Expand facilitates enlarging images within the editor.
However, these features are not universally available yet, remaining limited to beta versions. Consequently, details about their final appearance and official release date remain uncertain. Users eagerly anticipate these enhancements, expected to further enrich WhatsApp’s functionality for seamless communication and image editing.
