Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Turbo 3, the first device in its new Turbo series, positioned as a performance-focused lineup between the Redmi K and Note series.
This smartphone is among the first to showcase Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, designed for high-end devices.
Design and Display: Featuring a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel, the Redmi Turbo 3 boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2,712 x 1,220px.
While it falls short of 1440p, its 12-bit color depth ensures high color accuracy. The screen also offers a nearly flagship-level peak brightness of 2400 nits and includes an under-screen fingerprint sensor.
Internals and Software: Powered by the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, the Redmi Turbo 3 brings flagship-level features at a more affordable price point.
It supports up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 memory. HyperOS, layered over Android 14, handles the software side.
The Redmi Turbo 3 opts for a simple camera setup, with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor for primary shots and an 8MP IMX355 ultrawide shooter. It offers video recording up to 4K at 60 FPS and 1080p slow motion. The punch-hole cutout houses a 20MP selfie camera capable of recording 1080p videos at 60 FPS.
Equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, the Redmi Turbo 3 supports 90W super-fast wired charging. However, it lacks wireless charging and reverse wireless charging capabilities.
In China, the Redmi Turbo 3 starts at only $276 and comes in black, green, and titanium colors, with a special Harry Potter limited edition version also available.
With its impressive specifications and competitive pricing, the Redmi Turbo 3 promises to be a compelling option for smartphone enthusiasts seeking high performance without breaking the bank.
