On the auspicious occasion of ‘Diwali’, a religious Hindu festival, messages of congratulations were given to the Hindu community by Pakistani celebrities, artists and players.

Diwali, the festival of lights is one of the most significant festivals in the Hindu calendar. Diwali celebrations last for five days.

On the occasion, personalities belonging to sports, political and showbiz industries of Pakistan gave congratulatory messages to the Hindu community.

Tamgha-e-Imtiaz holder Mehwish Hayat extends her wishes to the Hindus on ‘Diwali’.

She wrote, “As the world celebrates #Diwali – the festival of lights, let’s spare a thought for #Kashmir where there is nothing but darkness. Remember that when you light a candle, you also cast a shadow. Let’s not leave the Kashmiri people to languish in this nightmare.” #KashmirBlackDay

Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar also congratulated the Hindu community on Diwali.

Actress Mawra Hussain in her tweet wishes the Hindus on Diwali.

Mawra wrote, “Wishing a very very happy Diwali to the Hindu community of Pakistan & to everyone celebrating across the globe! Love & lots of Light #HappyDiwali”

Top ranked player, Shoaib Malik also tweeted congratulating the Hindu community.
