Indian Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh has made an interesting revelation that he shares decades of old ties with Imran Khan and his family.

According to a statement issued by Amarinder Singh’s office, on the inauguration of the Kartarpur corridor, Imran Khan and Amarinder Singh traveled in the bus from zero point to Gurdwara.

In this short journey, there was some interesting conversation between Imran Khan and Amarinder Singh on the subject of cricket, during which Amrinder Singh revealed that he already knew Imran Khan and his family.

According to the statement, Amrinder Singh said Imran Khan’s uncle Jahangir Khan represented the Patiala cricket team under the captaincy of Amarinder Singh’s father Maharaja Yudwinder Singh from 1934-1935.

Jahangir Khan was husband of Imran Khan’s aunt. He played his first test on June 25, 1932 at Lord’s.

Indian Chief Minister expressed hope for improvement in relations between Pakistan and India through Kartarpur.

He said that this passage would be useful in building a cricket-like relationship between the two countries.

On November 9, 2019, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Kartarpur corridor. A large number of Sikh pilgrims from 68 countries around the world attended the inauguration.

Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Navjot Sadhu, Indian actor Sunny Deol also attended the event.
