It is no secret that Humayun Saeed has been a fixture on Pakistani TV screens for more than two decades now. Being one of the top-ranked Pakistani actors, he has acted in and produced over a dozen prominent TV serials through the years. He began his journey in 1999 with Samina Peerzada’s Inteha and since then, he has become a household name. Born and raised in Karachi, the heartthrob just turned 50 years old but, it looks like he has not aged a day!

Hence, on his birthday, we have compiled a list of his best works that make him the undisputed king of the Pakistani film and TV industry.

Doraha (2008)

Written by Umera Ahmed and produced by Humayun Saeed, Doraha had Humayun Saeed, Sanam Baloch, and Sonia Rehman in lead roles. The story is about a love triangle and social class differences. He was nominated for the Lux Style Awards (2010) as Best TV Actor for his outstanding performance in Doraha.

Ishq Junoon Deewangi (2009)

The dapper actor starred in this Momina Duraid’s produced drama which bagged him a Lux Style Award as Best TV Actor in 2010. A truly heartbreaking tale of passion, love, and revenge, it also featured Deepti Gupta, Humaima Malik, and Adnan Siddiqui. Saeed’s role as Sahil, a passionate film director, was well received and praised by the audience.

Bin Roye (2015/2016)

First released as a movie, the entrenched hero of our industry won everyone’s hearts as Irtiza. He starred opposite Mahira Khan and Armeena Khan. One year later, the TV show (of the same name) was released which filled the plot holes the film couldn’t. His chemistry with Mahira received a positive response while his characterization of a charismatic and straight-out-of-a-fantasy guy was simply fantastic and effortless.

Dil Lagi (2016)

It’s a well-established fact that the best performances of Humayun Saeed come from projects he co-produces. This serial featured Mehwish Hayat and him in lead roles as Anmol and Mohid respectively. The dashing hunk’s portrayal as a romantic hero had everyone swooning over him within the first few episodes. Dil Lagi also marked the return of Saeed to the television screen after 4 years.

Mere Paas Tum Ho (2019)

The biggest hit of Pakistani television’, the drama took the incredibly talented artist to another height of stardom. Featuring opposite, Ayeza Khan and Adnan Siddiqui, Humayun Saeed’s character of a lovesick and vulnerable Danish hugely attracted the male audience’s attention. The serial earned him wide acclaim despite the controversies the drama received. Needless to say, his performance as Danish will be remembered for a long time.
