Movie Intezaar by Sakina Samo is going  to release soon August 19.

• Fans will be happy to hear that the movie to premiere.
• Due to Covid-19, a lot of scheduled films came to a halt.
• The film premiered at the Harlem film festival, New York in 2020.

This year, Pakistani movies are doing very well, and we can expect to see even more of them in theatres. Covid-19 stopped a lot of movies from being made, including Sakina Samo’s first film as a director, Intezaar (Waiting), which starred Samina Ahmed, Khalid Ahmed, Kaif Ghaznavi, Raza Ali Abid, and Adnan Jaffar. But fans will be happy to hear that the movie is finally ready to premiere.

The veteran actor confirmed to Images that her movie will finally be in theatres on August 19. “Yes, it’s true that the movie is finally coming out. It was held up because of Covid-19, and now IMGC is putting it out the way they had it at first. It was supposed to come out on March 21, but then Covid happened and everything stopped, not just Intezaar (Waiting), but the whole world.

She added, “Let’s see how it goes because the film is nice, of course I’d say that because it’s my baby, but I’d like to add that the film is different and all type of films should be put up because we have audience of all types,” She added.

She hopes that the film is well-received when it releases and that people like it. In 2020, the movie was shown for the first time at the Harlem Film Festival in New York. Khalid won the Best Actor award for his role, which the Dobara actor said was because of his “powerful performance” in the upcoming movie.

The director also said that all of the premieres for Intezaar (Waiting) at that time were virtual and that nothing had happened in “real time” until now.

The story is about how compassionate a family is. It was written by Bee Gul, who is known for her work in Raqeeb Se and Dar Si Jati Hai Sila. A father waits for his family to leave, a mother waits for her son to come home, and a daughter cares for her ageing parents while waiting for them to die. They are lonely, their children don’t care about them, and they are afraid of dying.
